Glad you asked. We are a two-person team of forward-thinking, spirited women of color who are ready to change the climate narrative and uplift communities globally. We've shaped and sharpened our craft of penning stories and shooting multi-media content over the years.
Through lived experience and building sincere connections, we operate in solidarity with communities worldwide on the frontlines of climate action and justice.
As we create this short film, we are honored to gather a circle of supporters around this story and grateful for the hands, hearts, and voices that are helping to bring it to life.
With gratitude,
Lorena & Valentina
After studying Journalism and Sociology, Lorena took her pen and camera worldwide for Japanese non-profits, Peruvian marine biologists, and Navajo communities. Today, she works as a freelance journalist, grant writer, and communications organizer specializing in Indigenous sovereignty in the Americas.
As a Swiss-Mexican-American living in Chile, Lorena is passionate about weaving international movements and stories, throwing down in community gardens, and enjoying cheesy shrimp empanadas.
Valentina works between climate, storytelling, and policy — using creativity to drive environmental justice and social change. A WNY native with degrees in Anthropology and International Law, she has developed multimedia campaigns for brands & NGOs while collaborating with influential global leaders.
After a decade of travel, Valentina divides her time between a ’98 GMC van along the California coast and chasing winter sun worldwide, embracing exploration of the unknown as a core way of life.
